The Client shall be responsible for informing Marepe Mountain View of any bookings, confirmations, booking amendments, or cancellations of rooms or services in writing by e-mail.
Provisional bookings can be held as follows:
Up to 60 days before arrival – 6 days
59 – 30 days before arrival – 3 days
Less than 30 days before arrival – 24 hours
Upon expiry of the above provisional periods Marepe Mountain View reserves the right to release reservations, unless requested in writing by the Client to extend the provisional period. The extension of any provisional period will be at the sole discretion of Marepe Mountain View.
In the event Marepe Mountain View receives a confirmed reservation request against a provisional booking by the Client, Marepe Mountain View reserves the right to request confirmation or release of the held space within 24 hours.
Confirmed bookings will be subject to the appropriate cancellation and payment policies.
A booking is only held on a provisional basis until a deposit has been paid. Guests are required to pay a 50% deposit to confirm a reservation, with the balance due payable 30 days before arrival.
Only once a deposit has been paid, can a booking be considered a confirmed booking. If the deposit has not been paid, Marepe Mountain View holds the right to cancel the reservation within the appropriate booking period with just a written notification to the guest.
The balance payment is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Guests can make payment via Visa, MasterCard or electronic transfers (EFT) into our bank account. All electronic transfers should be made in full and free of any bank charges.
A R2,500 key and breakage deposit is payable with the final full payment and is refundable within 2 working days after the villa has been scrutinised and all found in order. We encourage you to let us know if any breakages occur during your stay so that we might attend to them.
The following will affect the refund of the deposit:
Cancellation of a booking must be in writing and will only effective upon receipt of the written notification. Requests to reduce or waiver cancellation fees from the Client will be considered with the decision made at the discretion of Marepe Mountain View.
On cancellation of a confirmed reservation Marepe Mountain View is entitled to the payment of the following cancellation fees:
A travel insurance is highly recommended and a responsibility of the guest, covering cancellation, personal effects, personal accident, medical and emergency travel expenses.
