TAKING "ROOM WITH A VIEW" TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Unobstructed views

With 3-metres-tall and 7.5 metre wide windows, the villas directly face the Northern Drakensberg amphitheater and offer perfectly unobstructed natural 180° views, even from the bed! As we directly border the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve you have complete privacy. From samango monkeys to porcupine, antelope, to abundant birdlife and the elusive leopard: they can all be seen right from your doorstep. Go for stunning walks in the area and take in all the natural wonders. At night the African sky turns into an arena for stargazing with brilliant views of the Milky Way.

The fully equipped kitchen and outside braai area make for a relaxing stay

Marepe Mountain View also offers catered services if you are looking to be indulged with local delicacies; from breakfast, to lunch, snack platters, braai packages, pizzas or a dinner prepared by a private chef.

The villas are serviced daily so don’t have to worry about doing the dishes on your holiday!

The two villas are named after the most elusive animals that can be found in the area: the caracal and pangolin.

THE ELUSIVE CAT

Caracal Villa

The caracal is a beautiful medium size wild cat with a reddish-tan coat and large black tufted ears. Caracal prey on rodents, hares and small antelope and love the mountainous area of Mariepskop.

Pangolin Villa

The pangolin is the holy grail for safari lovers. This beautiful animal is sadly the most illegally trafficked animal in the world and highly endangered. A pangolin feeds on termites and ants and there are plenty of feeding grounds in the area.
